This program provides, through first hand accounts and contemporary films and photographs, a rare insight into what really happened. Together with meticulously researched stories, it provides a unique historical analysis of the whole Gallipoli campaign. Directed by one of Australia’s foremost television documentary directors, Bill Leimback and narrated by Jack Thompson. It includes never-seen before interviews with the last ten Gallipoli Anzacs, rare black and white film footage showing the beach and trenches at Gallipoli and rarely seen images from The Age and war photographer Phillip Schuler.
