Babe

Babe is a successful adaptation of the children's novel by Dick King-Smith into a universally appealing movie. Farmer Hoggett wins a runt piglet at a local fair and young Babe (voice of Christine Cavanaugh) befriends and learns about all the other creatures on the farm.

'With a bunch of odd friends, like Ferdinand the duck who thinks he is a rooster and Fly the dog he calls mom, Babe realises that he has the makings to become the greatest sheep pig of all time, and Farmer Hogget knows it. With the help of the sheepdogs and the sheep, Babe learns that a pig can be anything that he wants to be.'

- ERIC HINES, IMDB

'Exceptionally well balanced between cute and dramatic, this is the ultimate family film, offering all ages a fun ride with something to say buried nicely in the depths of its accessible script. Amusing and amazing, charming yet edgy, peppered with moments of stillness and high-energy action scenes, Babe has it all.'
