How do you avoid excess emotional baggage? The Instructional Guide to Dating is essential for every modern girl and hipster guy to navigate through the turbulent modern dating scene. The film was created using a combination of different techniques such as pixillation, rotoscoping, matte painting, hand tinting, cell drawing and 2D/3D animation. A digital stills camera was used to shoot the live action and then the images were digitally enhanced and re-timed in post. All animation sequences and visual effects were achieved on a MAC G5 using After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro and Maya.
